Overview

The Plant System Operator II is responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of water and wastewater treatment facilities and related systems. This individual will be based in Lexington, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor water or wastewater treatment plant equipment.
  • Collect water, wastewater, and process samples and perform required testing and recordkeeping activities. 
  • Diagnose operating problems and take effective courses of action.
  • Make independent technical decisions to maintain proper treatment process.
  • Perform routine inspections of treatment processes, equipment, facilities, and distribution or collection systems.

Qualifications

  • Class C Water certification preferred.
  • Operator-in-Training candidates encouraged to apply.
