We are seeking a Shift Rounds Technician to join our team at a municipal water treatment facility in Wichita, Kansas. This role is responsible for performing routine facility checks, accepting chemical deliveries, calibrating analytical equipment, and assisting with water sample analysis.

While prior water treatment experience is beneficial, it is not required—training will be provided for motivated candidates who are ready to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled equipment inspections and document operational status.
  • Accept, verify, and log chemical deliveries.
  • Calibrate and maintain analytical equipment (e.g., turbidity meters, pH meters, chlorine analyzers).
  • Collect and perform basic analysis on water samples for process control.
  • Complete shift logs and communicate equipment or process issues to supervisors.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and site-specific procedures.
  • Support operations staff during both day and night shifts.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in water or wastewater treatment operations a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new equipment quickly.
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory procedures and water quality parameters (training provided if needed).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and nights.
