The Water Treatment Plant Commissioning Manager in Lexington, TX is responsible for leading and managing the commissioning and start-up of municipal and industrial water and/or wastewater treatment plants. This role ensures all systems and components of the plant are installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the client and regulatory standards. The Commissioning Manager works closely with construction teams, engineering consultants, plant operators, and municipal representatives to bring the facility into full operational readiness. The role involves long and demanding work hours, including regular weekend involvement. Candidates must be prepared for sustained high-intensity schedules.
This class is certified at the Entry or Operator I level and employees may have limited knowledge of plant operations. This is an in-training position and requires supervision on tasks related to compliance reporting and analysis. Advancement to the Plant Operator II level is based on meeting minimum qualifications and satisfactory job performance.
